Euroclad Dares to Wear it Pink
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Euroclad staff have supported the Dare to Wear it Pink day.
Members of staff have been dared to don their brightest pink outfits and donate £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign. From feather boas in reception to pink ties in the boardroom, support for the day has been widespread.
Euroclad staff have been supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month for over 5 years now and hope that this year’s Dare to Wear it Pink day will be the most successful to date.
Richard Elliott Joins the Euroclad Sales Team
Richard Elliott has recently joined Euroclad’s external sales department, taking on the role of Midlands Sales Manager (Area D). Richard has joined Euroclad from Interface Europe where he was a Key Account Manager responsible for public sector sales and specification in the Midlands.
Richard has over 5 years experience both in specification and B2B sales as well as estimating and logistics within the building products sector. When asked to comment on his appointment Richard said, “I am delighted to join the Euroclad sales force and look forward to the challenges ahead”.

A new quoting system has recently been launched by Euroclad. The updated system provides efficient and user friendly quotations for all Euroclad products, including complete Elite Systems, roof and wall profiles, insulation, accessories, and decking.
The new quoting system is part of a complete customer care package which includes expert technical advice, a dedicated customer service team as well as internal and external sales departments, covering the whole of the UK.
Quotation requests can be submitted via the Euroclad website or by emailing bestprice@euroclad.co.uk. Once you have entered the details of the product you need, a quote will be sent by email in PDF format within 24 hours.

Euroclad are pleased to announce the appointment of 3 new senior members of the expanding Sales and Business Development departments.
Jim Darwen and Chris Pomphrey have joined Euroclad as Business Development Managers and John Spittlehouse has taken on the role of National Sales Manager.
Chris Pomphrey joined Euroclad in early May 2008 from Paroc/Octavia Facades UK Ltd where he spent two years working as Business Development Director.Prior to this he worked with many of the big names in the metal building sector including Corus and he has over 20 years experience in the UK construction industry. When asked about his appointment Chris commented; “I am delighted to join Euroclad at a time when the company and its reputation is going from strength to strength and I am sure that by expanding its business development team, this can only continue”.
Jim Darwen has also come on board as a key part of the Business Development Team, joining Euroclad in Early January 2008. Prior to his Euroclad appointment, he was Area Sales Manager for EDM Spamwall Ltd for 5 years. Jim has extensive commercial and technical experience, having worked as a technical manager for Hoogovens Kalzip before becoming an architectural consultant with Glostal Monarch Ltd. Jim said “Euroclad has always been a well known and respected player in the metal building sector and so when I was given the opportunity to join the team I did not hesitate. I am looking forward to what is to come over the next few years and hope to be an integral part of Euroclad’s continued expansion”.
John Spittlehouse joined Euroclad in late December 2007, taking on the role of National Sales Manager, overseeing a team of 8 area sales managers. He has an enviable reputation in the roofing and cladding market with 23 years experience! He came to Euroclad from PSP where he was the Sales and Marketing manager.
John commenced his career in the industry contracting with Manchester Slate moving onto Maurice Hills and Yorkshire Sheeting before entering manufacturing with Hoogovens Kalzip as a regional sales manager. John then joined the Bowmer & Kirkland Group where he set up the Key Bemo standing seam operation to which he was General Manager.
When asked his thoughts on the new appointments, Sales and Marketing Manager Andrew Hickin commented, “We are delighted to have 3 such well respected people joining the team and look forward to the wealth of experience they will bring”.

Introduction to Euroclad Logistics department
We have been operating a logistics department for about 4 years now and over that time a huge amount of change has occurred. The business has grown over this time and we are now organising over 100 deliveries per day to all areas of the UK which is quite a challenge.
We are currently achieving an on time in full success rate of just over 96% to our customers which we are quite proud of. However, if we do get any issues we aim to resolve them as quickly as possible and try to give customers as much notice of possible of any problems.
We continue to provide the same personal service of confirming deliveries with our customer base 48 hours prior to the delivery date. This is vital to both parties and provides an opportunity for a good working relationship.
We have a team of four people working within the logistics office, a team of 6 loading personnel and a driving team of 6 which deliver goods to our customers on our small fleet of 5 vehicles. This gives us another interface with our customer base at site level, which is a huge positive for our overall working relationship.
The whole team is headed up by the Logistics manager Kevin Waite. The team in the office is Sian Davies, Les Edwards and our newest recruit Leanne Jones. All of these people have extensive experience in the Logistics arena working in demanding markets and are all valuable assets for the company.
We try and provide a reliable, friendly and cost effective service for our customers. The majority of our deliveries are planned as multi-drop arrangements. This enables us to keep the costs of our deliveries to a minimum in a very demanding market. Pressure on drivers hours from government legislation is growing all the time and fuel costs are currently at there highest level in recent memory.
However, we do have an extensive range of haulage options available to us and for extra cost we can provide dedicated vehicles, rigid, self offload and extendable trailers.
As a team we are always looking at trying to improve our service and challenge some of the barriers we face each day. We have trialled options of deliver to some areas of the UK on set days of the week and these have proved successful and would welcome discussing some of these option with you and look at any suggestions customers have to improve our service.
